Why This Must Be Read:
I'm a huge fan of both BDSM fics and slavefics, and this is story is one of my very favourite examples of both. It's also femdom, which is sadly both very rare and my favourite type. This isn't just a story to be read for the kink, though. It's very long, it's got a great plot, and it has a wonderfully slow developing relationship between River and Jayne. Lit Gal is also really good at emulating the way that the characters speak on the show.
River is her usual intelligent, insightful but crazy self, and seeing her as Jayne's dominant is a real joy. He is at first resistant to her advances, to the extent of leaving Serenity and accidentally getting himself enslaved on a planet, but he gradually becomes her devoted servant. Aside from the main couple, there's some great characterisation of other members of Serenity's crew, who have varying reactions to learning of River and Jayne's relationship.
