Presenting Monthly Special Reccers!


I'd like to bring to attention anr's awesome reccing idea. If you'll notice, she has recently begun an awesome feat: she's gonna rec 31 pairings in 31 fandoms in 31 days. o.O Three days down, and 28 to go! This is such a nifty idea that I have decided to give anr her own tag. Special Reccer: Anr. We here at het_reccers applaud and encourage new ideas and mad reccing! Go Anr! The idea is so brilliant, in fact, that we're opening up the comm for one volunteer every month to follow in her footsteps, though we're lowering the threshold. 31 recs in 31 fandoms in 31 days is intimidating, yo.

We think 20 recs in at least 5 different fandoms is more doable. Although more recs and more diversity is always, always appreciated here. October is covered by anr, but we're looking for people for every month thereafter. You can sign up here months in advance, because I imagine it will take time to gather up all those fics to rec.

If you'd like to claim a month, drop a note here. First come, first serve. Remember: 20 recs in at least 5 different fandoms. We're only getting 12 of these "Special Reccers" every year, so please be sure that you can follow through with the task, should you choose to accept it! (Don't worry, I'll drop you reminder notes when your time is coming up, at least two weeks in advance.) You'll even get your own reccer tag, and c'mon, who doesn't want something shiny like that?
