Why This Must Be Read: I wish I had some power to let anr write Tony in canon. I think this author finds the best in him. Here, Tony comes across as mature, without loosing his sense of humor.

Why This Must Be Read: I like the simplicity of this fic. It's so concise, yet says so much. My favorite bit:

McGee stirs beside him. "Movie's over, Tony."

"Monkey still has to steal back the coin, McDesert. It's not over until the lights come up."

"Tony --"

Pressure behind his eyes; he swallows uneasily. "Can't help it, Tim. Need to talk."

"Academy award winners for the last fifty years," Gibbs says, stretching out his legs. "Go."

Relief makes him nod quickly. "You want them chronological or alphabetical, Boss?"

Gibbs crosses his arms. "How 'bout quietly."

He can do that.

Why This Must Be Read: After the Season Six finale, "Aliyah," aired, I went looking for post-episode fic. I also adore "five things" stories, and this is essentially "Five Times Ziva Saw Snow."

My favorite is Time #4, where Tony tries to explain something as frivolous as snow angels to someone who has no understanding of frivolity:

"It's, uh... Well, you lie down in the snow and make motions with your hands and legs like this-" Tony flapped his arms like a bird, looking slightly demented. Ziva only furrowed her brow in confusion. "- and when you get up, it looks like an angel's wings."

"I see." She did not.

There were also some things said in this story which *needed* to be said during the first few episodes of Season Seven.
