Why This Must Be Read: Pretty much everything by Dollsome is worth checking out, because my god, she writes D/D every which way, but I especially love her humor. Y'know, that epic pairing with angst and betrayal and an apocalypse between them? Yeah, she makes them funny and lighthearted - in the midst of killings, even. Take this fic, for example. Dom suspects a new client of having feelings for DeWitt - and oh, no. That isn't jealousy speaking up. No, no, no. This is just him doing his job. The client might be a threat! (And, Dollhouse being all things Dollhouse, Dom has a fifty-fifty chance that he's not all that off his mark.) Go! Read! And then check out everything else by her!

Why This Must Be Read: This plot is as cliche as you get - pregnancy fic, but this author makes it sing. I love her characterization, because nothing is easy for them, and it's not the normal general romantic fic at all because there's betrayal and the apocalypse to deal with. It wouldn't be easy, because there are too many wounds and skeletons. Demonqueen666 paints a great picture of this story that's true to both Dollhouse and the pairing, yet at the same time, underneath it all, there's this soft tug of romance that's just perfect.

Why This Must Be Read: The angst, the chaos - and yet the love. It's written beautifully and with such grace. It's hard for Dom to forgive Adelle and move on, but then again, it happens and he can't explain how. I love the flow and narration of this fic so much. Loved tracing the journey from hate to love in this story. Marvelous.
