Angel smiles at the joke.
Cordelia: Well, his loss is your incredible gain!
Cordelia: So I told Devon, 'You call that leather interior? My Barbie Dream Car had nicer seats!' (they both laugh)

Angel: He's also got her wearing this - flimsy swimsuit that covers like (twists the ax handle between his hands as he looks up at the ceiling) nothing.
For a moment all three guys' (Wes, Angel, Gunn) eyes unfocus, then they glance at each other.

Liam: Truth to tell, I'm not much for fighting. I'd rather be satisfying my sinful urges with the Chase girl.

Angelus: (faces her) And you're the little lamb. Not that there aren't a few things I wouldn't mind doing to that body—other than the obvious. (walks forward)

Cordy: They were just dreams, Angel. They weren’t even your dreams. They didn’t mean anything.
Angel: But I enjoyed it.
Cordy: It’d probably be okay if you never mentioned that part ever again.
Angel: It’s still in me, Cordelia.
Cordy: Sure it’s in you. We all have *something*. But it’s not the only thing that’s in you. You’re not him, Angel. Not anymore. The name I got in my vision, the message didn’t come for Angelus, it came for you. Angel. And you have to trust that whoever that The Powers That Be be, - are, - is.. anyway, - they know the difference.

Cordy: Absorb them?

Cordy turns away from him: Ugh! I *knew* there was a catch! - You can't take my visions! I need them! I-I use them to help my friends fight evil back home!
Groo: And I will use them here to fight evil, just as you have done.
Cordy: Groo - I can't give up my visions. - I *like* them. Okay, I don't like the searing pain and agony that is steadily getting worse.
Groo: You are pure human. - You are not meant to carry such a burden.
Cordy: "Maybe not. - But I'm not ready to give them up either. - They're a part of who I am now. They're an honor.

Cordy steps closer: Then find a loop hole, Skip. I know my purpose in this world and it includes the visions. And if the Powers That Be aren't complete dumb-asses, they know it, too.
Skip: There maybe a - tiny - loophole.
Cordy: I'll take it.
Skip: You may wanna think about that. The only way *you* get to keep the visions is by becoming - part demon. (Cordy looks down) The process isn't easy. It'll make your vision pain feel like a stroll through candyland. And even after the pain subsides the effects of the transition will be numerous and unpredictable. You may never be able to lead a human life again.
Cordy looks over at Angel (who appears to be frozen in time), then back at Skip.
Cordy: So - demonize me already.

...Cordelia: You don’t know who he is, do you? Oh, boy! You are about to get your ass kicked!
Angel takes a shot in the chest then turns to pick up Cordelia. While more bullets hit him in the back he jumps over the banister to the floor below.

Angel: Don't you come at me through Cordelia ever again. You play that card a second time and I'll kill you.

Cordy: Next up: multiple stab wounds. Angel!
Angel jumps of his stool and hurries over to the settee.
Angel: Uh, it's my turn. Oh, yay!
Cordy: What a dork.

Angel: We're gonna open up another portal and we're going in after her.

Angel: I don't wanna research, alright? I wanna jump through the big swirly hole thingy and save Cordelia!

Angel throws the book down and drops to sit on the edge of the stage, takes a few deep breaths.
Angel: I just got her back.

Angel: All those months, under the water, I kept thinking to myself I gotta get home... to Cordelia. I get back and I find out that she's gone. I keep thinking, I gotta get Cordy back home.

Cordy: There's got to be some fun in our lives.

Angel: (calls after her) Cordelia. (she turns around) Were we in love?
Cordelia: We were. (walks away)

#2. Angel's idea of the perfect day is saving the world, getting his family back together, and getting the girl of his dreams (Cordelia).
Cordelia: Must be hard. Seeing everyone so happy because of what you did. Bringing the light back, but not being able to go out into it.
Angel: There's no place I'd rather be...(turns to face her) than here with you.
Angel and Cordelia kiss sweetly. She puts her arms around his neck, but he stops her.
Angel: (looks away) Cordy...
Cordelia: (looks into his eyes) No. Whatever it is, whatever the reason or excuse or logic, we're here. Now. Together. Everything is the way it's supposed to be. For once. Angel, haven't we waited long enough?
Cordelia kisses Angel, and this time he responds with gentle passion. She unbuttons his shirt and slides it off. He unfastens her dress and slips it down her body. Angel is lying on top of Cordelia, kissing her softly as they make love.

#1. Cordelia used her last day on Earth to get Angel back on track.
Cordelia: So... (walks up to Angel) you feel good?
Angel: I do. I just...I kind of feel bad about it.
Cordelia: My God, you are a piece of work.
Angel: I just don't feel like I deserve... (shrugs) I mean, all I did was beat up a tiny Texan. It's not like I helped anyone. (sits on the chair arm)
Cordelia: Sure you did.
Angel: Who?
Cordelia: Boy, I really do fall for the dumb ones. You know how you're always trying to save, oh, every single person in the world? Did it ever occur to you you were one of them?
Angel: No, it never did.
Cordelia: Well, you made the list, gorgeous. And you needed some help.
Angel: And you were the one that helped me.
Cordelia: I did my part. (sits beside Angel:)
Angel: Lindsey wasted a lot of energy trying to make me doubt myself. I know it's not even close to over, but I do feel like I can do this. Wolfram & Hart, whatever's coming, I feel like we can beat it.
Cordelia: I know.
Angel: You do?
Cordelia: I always did. I... I just needed you to know it, too.
Angel: So all that stuff about the deals with the devil...
Cordelia: (nods) Was God's honest truth. (looks at Angel) But you're bigger than that. You'll win this in the end. (stands, steps away) I, uh... just wish I could be there to see it.
Angel: What do you mean? You're not...
Cordelia: (turns to face Angel) I can't stay. This isn't me anymore. You can say good-bye to the gang for me, explain everything once you understand.
Angel: That's gonna be never. (walks toward her) I need you here.
Cordelia: (with tears in her eyes) Don't make it hard, Angel:. I'm just on a different road... and this is my off-ramp. The Powers That Be owed me one, and I didn't waste it. I got my guy back on track.
Angel: Cordy, there's just—
Cordelia: (touches his face) We take what we can get, champ, and we do our best with it. I'll be seeing you. (smiles through her tears, turns to walk out of the office) (stops, turns around, walks quickly up to Angel:) Oh, what the hell. One for the road? (kisses Angel, but moments later, the telephone rings)
Angel: You know, um... I don't...I don't need to get that.
Cordelia: (tenderly straightens his tie) That you have to get. (Angel walks toward the phone) Oh... and you're welcome.
Angel: (answers the phone) Hello. Yes, I know. She's... but that's impossible. She's standing right— (turns to look for Cordelia:, but she's not there; he becomes visibly upset) I'm sorry. Yeah. (choking up) When did she die? Did she, um... she never did wake up? I see. (hangs up, looks out to where Cordelia: was standing moments earlier) Thank you.

Bonus: The C/A fandom is friendly, laid back, and not full of srs bsns.
While we always strive to have fun with C/A, we also have some talented meta folks like this Cordelia meta and this Angel meta that gives incredible insights into the characters and their relationship from a more analytical standpoint. But really, if you just want to meet a group of intelligent, laid back people who will be your friends for life, C/A fandom is the one for you!

I still haven't been able to find a good all-human or High School AU so I had to go with one that really twists the future of ATS.

So she goes to the crossroads at midnight in some dusty little county in Oklahoma or Arkansas (because it wouldn’t be the same as California) on Halloween and makes a bargain.

Angel: I just don't feel like I deserve... (shrugs) I mean, all I did was beat up a tiny Texan. It's not like I helped anyone. (sits on the chair arm)
Cordelia: Sure you did.
Angel: Who?
Cordelia: Boy, I really do fall for the dumb ones. You know how you're always trying to save, oh, every single person in the world? Did it ever occur to you you were one of them?
Angel: No, it never did.
Cordelia: Well, you made the list, gorgeous. And you needed some help.
Angel: And you were the one that helped me.
Cordelia: I did my part. (sits beside Angel:)
Angel: Lindsey wasted a lot of energy trying to make me doubt myself. I know it's not even close to over, but I do feel like I can do this. Wolfram & Hart, whatever's coming, I feel like we can beat it.
Cordelia: I know.
Angel: You do?
Cordelia: I always did. I... I just needed you to know it, too.
Angel: So all that stuff about the deals with the devil...
Cordelia: (nods) Was God's honest truth. (looks at Angel) But you're bigger than that. You'll win this in the end. (stands, steps away) I, uh... just wish I could be there to see it.
Angel: What do you mean? You're not...
Cordelia: (turns to face Angel) I can't stay. This isn't me anymore. You can say good-bye to the gang for me, explain everything once you understand.
Angel: That's gonna be never. (walks toward her) I need you here.
Cordelia: (with tears in her eyes) Don't make it hard, Angel:. I'm just on a different road... and this is my off-ramp. The Powers That Be owed me one, and I didn't waste it. I got my guy back on track.
Angel: Cordy, there's just—
Cordelia: (touches his face) We take what we can get, champ, and we do our best with it. I'll be seeing you. (smiles through her tears, turns to walk out of the office) (stops, turns around, walks quickly up to Angel:) Oh, what the hell. One for the road? (kisses Angel, but moments later, the telephone rings)
Angel: You know, um... I don't...I don't need to get that.
Cordelia: (tenderly straightens his tie) That you have to get. (Angel walks toward the phone) Oh... and you're welcome.
Angel: (answers the phone) Hello. Yes, I know. She's... but that's impossible. She's standing right— (turns to look for Cordelia:, but she's not there; he becomes visibly upset) I'm sorry. Yeah. (choking up) When did she die? Did she, um... she never did wake up? I see. (hangs up, looks out to where Cordelia: was standing moments earlier) Thank you.

Bonus: The C/A fandom is friendly, laid back, and not full of srs bsns.
While we always strive to have fun with C/A, we also have some talented meta folks like this Cordelia meta and this Angel meta that gives incredible insights into the characters and their relationship from a more analytical standpoint. I still haven't been able to find a good all-human or High School AU so I had to go with one that really twists the future of ATS.

Becjane incorporates traits and ideas from ATS and brings them over to create a fantastic story with Cordelia, Angel, Wes, and Faith being their own "Core Four" if you will. Wes/Faith pairing as well.

I'm thankful every day for finding this story because it has allowed me to strike up a friendship with an incredible woman who is not only a very talented writer (just read the story and see) but also great at analysis and discussion. There aren't many NFA stories this good. And once you read it, you will see why.

He decides to become her friend and then something more. It isn't one that is overtly romantic but I think it has enough friendship and little moments to really appeal to anyone who loves this ship.
