X-Men Movieverse. Scott/Rogue post.
Figured I'd do a dump all in one go.
Fandom Category: X-Men Movieverse
Pairing: Scott Summers/Marie "Rogue" D'Ancanto
Fic Title: Clinging Cures
Author: Molly
Link: http://www.xmmff.com/stories/viewstory.php?sid=744&chapter=1
Rating/Warning(s): PG; minor character death.
Genre: Introspection, friendship, AU, romance.
WIP?: Complete.
Why This Must Be Read: Given the unconventional pairing, there is not a lot of fic out there. This is the best, finished, work still on the internet. I don't quiet know how to explain this story, other than to say that it's very quiet, almost lyrical in its cadence. The language of this story has stuck with me since I first read it, which I believe was some time back in 2003. Even if the ship makes you raise an eyebrow, I'd recommend giving this story a try. It really is beautiful.

Fic Title: You Could Be Free
Author: San

Rating/Warning(s): PG-13; abandoned.
Genre: Introspection, UST, friendship.
WIP?: Not complete; abandoned.
Why This Must Be Read: Normally, I hate reccing unfinished stories. Unfortunately, this and the next one are unfinished and are likely to remain so. That being said, there is tremendous worth in both of them. This story pretty much sold me on the whole Scott/Rogue ship to begin with. Namely it illustrates just who each of these characters are - and, in my opinion, very accurately - and sets up the possibility of a romance and a deep friendship that never did manifest in the movies. Additionally, the Scott Summers in this story is the closest textual illustration of the Scott Summers that lives in my head.

Pairing: Scott Summers/Marie "Rogue" D'Ancanto
Fic Title: The Road Away From Heart Ache
Author: Princess Twilite
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1345597/1/
Rating/Warning(s): R; Post-character death.
Genre: Angst, AU, friendship, introspection, action/adventure, romance.
WIP?: Not complete; abandoned.
Why This Must Be Read: Again, I usually don't rec unfinished stories, but this is like an unfinished DaVinci sketch; beautiful and with enough finished that you can see the outlines of what would have been an amazing work. Mind you, I'm a lot biased on this story as I beta'd most of it and have privy to where some of the loose ends tied themselves off. Still, this story is kind of a half-finished love note to the possibility of stories never written. I wish there were more stories for this couple in this fandom. I wish this was finished because it would have been amazing. As it stands, it's still a really good read.
