Why This Must Be Read: This is actually mostly Darcy/Hulk--Bruce has yet to make an appearance but oh man is there a hilarious misunderstanding of that situation on Darcy's part. In any case, Hulk saves Darcy from the Chitauri and pretty much falls in love with her at first sight. From then on, whenever he's in Hulk form, he makes an effort to go see her and it is adorable. Seriously, people, this will give you so many Hulk feels you won't even know what to do with yourself. And Darcy is just...a;sdfasdf, so perfect, with her fabulous wit and her unconditional acceptance of the Hulk. So, so good. Highly recommended

This fic was written based off that little moment in the movie where Bruce pushes an empty baby cradle while saying, "I don't always get what I want" (when he first meets Natasha), which several people in the fandom have interpreted as meaning he wants children but he doesn't think he'll ever have the opportunity given The Other Guy. Is your heart breaking yet? I know mine is. Sssssh, it's okay, this fic fixes all of that. It'll put your heart through the wringer first, but the emotional pay-off is so, so worth it.

This is a fun, sexy read with some laugh-out-loud moments as Darcy attempts to make Bruce "angry" during the course of her seduction.

This is a charming read and Darcy is in top form, mastering Tony's overly-complicated coffee machine, wrangling Thor, learning Thai so she can figure out how to read and file Bruce's lab scribblings, bullying Bruce into eating, and generally being competent and awesome. This isn't quite as shippy as my other recs, but one can definitely read it as a pre-relationship fic.
Also, have a bonus Natasha/Bruce rec because I just found it and IT IS SO GOOD I had to rec it.

Bruce and Natasha are really just 2 sides of the same coin and it is fascinating to read. Bruce isn't sure whether he's being manipulated and honestly, neither is the reader. I don't have words to describe how glorious this is. Just read it and lavish praise on the author because this is tremendous.
