Why This Must Be Read: This is a brilliantly written AU. You will fall in love with Obi-wan all over again and this is the Padme I wish we’d seen. This author writes the best action and fight scenes I’ve ever read. The plot is long and well-though-out, the romance is done subtly and the OCs are fantastic. I will warn any fans of Anakin however, he isn’t treated very well although there is a reason for it. Just an amazing, intriguing story.

Why This Must Be Read: Without a doubt, my all-time favourite obi-wan/padme fic. This is the way Episode III should have ended. dee's characterisations are pitch-perfect as she explains away the discrepancies between the new and original trilogies, bridging the movies in a lovely, touching manner.

If you ever got to the end of the new trilogy and thought, but that doesn't make sense... then this fic is for you. If you ever wondered what happened to Obi-Wan and Padme between Episode III and IV, this fic will tell you. And if you're only ever going to read one obi-wan/padme fic, this is the one to read.
