Why This Must Be Read: First of all, there's a serious lack of Tempe/Ryan fics out there, and someone must do something about it so the wait between novels is easier. ;) Tempe/Ryan is my ultimate book pairing, and I'm glad I've found at least a fic to rec for them. LizD is writing this fic with the idea that Tempe and Brennan are two different characters (which, when you know both characters, is true, because they're really different and not just in age). Tempe/Ryan are written beautifully, true to their characters in the book. It's set during season 6 for Bones, I think when Booth and Brennan fell apart (I haven't seen the show in years, so correct me if I'm wrong).

Can we have tags for the pairing and the fandom, please?? :D

Why This Must Be Read: This is a modern AU where Downton Abbey becomes Downton Industries. There are only two chapters thus far (out of a projected four), but I’m already completely taken by this author’s absolutely brilliant characterization of Mary -- a woman who can play the part of the perfect, proper eldest daughter to the tee when needed but also rejects the role, a woman who in one sense loves the glamour of the lifestyle she leads even as she cannot bear its superficiality. Everyone else is also thoughtfully portrayed, and the writer has creatively and smoothly adapted Downton Abbey to the 21^st century.

Why This Must Be Read: Lovely little piece that shows the wonderful dynamic of Booth/Cam, both in a relationship and just as friends. This author nails Cam especially, capturing her smarts, humor, and inner-strength wonderfully. The setting of this fic is also unique - Cam and Booth talk over an autopsy. It's perfect for this fandom. I only wish there were more fics like this.

bite_or_avoid does a beautiful job of showing us the push and pull of Booth and Brennan's relationship and the way they work so hard to control the brewing "something" between them until it boils over and becomes something else altogether.
