Why This Must Be Read: Anzu thinks she has everything she's ever wanted in life... until she gets invited to Yugi's wedding. Priorities and past feelings abound. It's really an ensemble story (with background Rebecca/Yugi, Serenity/Tristan, Joey/Mai and a surprise pairing), and I love that the author uses the opportunity to showcase everyone's friendships and different voices. The core triangle isn't annoying, either, but fully realised and sympathetic to everyone involved -- not to mention featuring some of the best writing I've ever read, in the sense that it rings so true to life. I cannot recommend this story highly enough, or love this story more even if it had been written with one of my OTPs as the centre. It's that good.

Why This Must Be Read: Because it's beautiful. Adam/Vicky is the pairing of my teenage heart and I basically love all fic for them, but this one is particularly lovely. It's quiet, almost, in the way that they are in the books and it just feels like them in the best possible way.

Why This Must Be Read: Oh Dan and Blair, the ship tumblr and season 4, I think, made me care about but they're so precious to me now. The socialite and the writer, the dreamer and the realist, the ones that want and think and think about everything they want. Also, the ones with the best ship construction the show has done. This fic is great for them. It's set in mid season three where they both start to move past their prescribed — and excepted by others — intolerance for each other and start getting somewhat closer. Using a line from Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is a brilliant move on the author on it's own merits, the "mean reds" is exactly how their relationship with the fic begins: afraid of what the other means. Dan and Blair do something that changes their perspective on each other. At least Dan's at first and then it's when starts getting complicated because they're not supposed to like each other. Here, Dan and Blair are snippy and snarky as each other always but they slowly fine that past all they say they hate about each other is someone that they don't hate at all.

I was in love with these two, back when things were good or not good but not awful like they're now. They were amazing in season 1 and 2. They really were, and then I don't know why things got really complicated and I just lost interested in them. BUT, even though I don't care anymore about them, I do love some stories that take place in the early seasons. This two in particular were the first GG stories I read and they were pretty damn good! Sweet and angsty! Just like them!

Why This Must Be Read: The story picks up after graduation. During this time, Blair and Chuck are going through the motions of a sick and very unhealthy relationship. Blair knows this already but can't let go; she half-despises him, half-loves him. And just when she can't take it anymore, when Chuck Bass is grating on her last nerve, making her feel used and nearly pitiful, Dan Humphrey manages to rescue our favorite Queen. The two decide on being "allies", due to Dan's suggestion. From there, Blair still goes through self-loathing routines with Chuck until she's at her breaking point and turns to her new "ally", knocking on his door with bleeding feet from a long walk and mascara running down her cheeks. It's a story that shows development in character and in relationships, because it takes time for Blair to grow, as well as Dan himself. This story was the first Dair fic I had ever come across and I am delighted it was; it's given me a pretty good impression of the pairing.

Maybeyou are thinking that the plot is such a clichè that you won't certainly bother to read it, but trust me, Nyx sells it so good than it nearly looks like a perfect real life situation.
