Why This Must Be Read: I found this fic while I was in fact searching for Leslie/Ron fics, but I saw this and it kind of sparked my interest so I took a look at it. This fic is everything I ever wanted for Ann, it gives her a lot of depth the show could so easily and kind of plugs perfectly against her problems of always being the love-interest and never the heroine. And honestly, Ron is kind of the perfect person to bring that out in her, which is not something I would have ever considered before reading this fic. Definitely a great Ann character study.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a modern AU where Downton Abbey becomes Downton Industries. There are only two chapters thus far (out of a projected four), but I’m already completely taken by this author’s absolutely brilliant characterization of Mary -- a woman who can play the part of the perfect, proper eldest daughter to the tee when needed but also rejects the role, a woman who in one sense loves the glamour of the lifestyle she leads even as she cannot bear its superficiality. Everyone else is also thoughtfully portrayed, and the writer has creatively and smoothly adapted Downton Abbey to the 21^st century.

He's getting the idea that she's not as much of an amateur at this as he assumed. That's weirdly reassuring.

If you've hung around fandom for a while, you know that bondage is not rare - a fic with the negotiation of bondage - what is okay and how much - is a lot rarer and the banter was so delightful that it took me a reread to realize the issues that Tony is actually working with.

Why This Must Be Read: SO BEAUTIFUL. Art and bodies and OTPs, this fic hit me hard in the feelings, especially the Jane/Thor section to be honest. It's more of a Five Time fic which captures so much in so little. Steve Rogers decides to draw his teammates... in the nude, but not in crude manner or about nudity as percursor to sex but about how out bodies and the people you trust your bodies to speak louder than words sometimes. Told through a series of flashback from in the far future it's a lovely fic that shows the team not just as symbol but as people. Each section is about either a ship, and the ships are portrayed SO WONDERFULLY and true to themselves, or a character and all gorgeous character pieces.

The tone is playful, their dinamic is perfectly described -Pepper's sarcasm is spot on, and Tony is as inmature but caring as we know and love about him-, and we can see that under all their differences the slow blossom of feelings they were not yet prepared to admit. Nice and short little read.

Why This Must Be Read: Because this does a ridiculously good job at painting what the dynamics of the three ships here could be. The characterization of the women, especially, is wonderful. I didn't think I would get much of a balanced fic with so many characters and ships traipsing through, but this did an admirable job with doing justice to all. A post-Avengers fic, where Natasha determines after watching some footage that the key to "neutralizing" the Hulk was one Dr. Elizabeth Ross.

Also, some really great one-liners in the narration.

Why This Must Be Read: This story sizzles. It pairs a younger Pepper and Tony, free from the restraint of their later relationship, and shows us a hookup in the men's bathroom of a European dance club that might (or might not) have happened. It's well-written and astonishingly hot - I have a thing for stories which are realistic about sex, and let me just say that the lack of a condom in this story means a) there's no actual sex and b) you'll actually be grateful for that because it turns the story into something you might not have otherwise expected.
