Why This Must Be Read: This series leaves me absolutely breathless and is one of my all-time favorite Syd/Sark stories. The characterization is fantastic--the author is unflinching in her portrayal of these ruthless, complex, and morally gray super spies. Highly recommended.

Days 7-10: Multiple fandom/pairing, 5 recs

Day 07 - A fic for a pairing with a lot of baggage.

Fandom Category: Twilight
Pairing: Bella Swan/Jacob Black
Fic Title: No Good Deed
Author: MeraNaamJoker
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8357521/1/No-Good-Deed
Rating/Warning(s): M/R. Warnings for language and sexual content
Genre: Breaking Dawn AU
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: Anyone familiar with Twilight knows that to say Bella and Jacob have a lot of baggage is an understatement. In this AU, Bella doesn't become a vampire--she divorces Edward and leaves the Cullens to raise her baby on her own after Edward tries to abort the pregnancy against her wishes. 8 years later, a posthumous letter from Edward comes to his daughter--now named Saisha--imploring her to convince Bella to reconcile with Jacob since his actions have caused the both of them so much pain. This is actually a really thoughtful story, with a much more mature and confident Bella--one who recognizes her mistakes, owns up to them, and is willing to tackle her issues with Jacob in a reasonable and adult fashion. Jacob, while understandably resentful at first, is similarly able to put aside his own anger and meet her halfway to work things out. Of course, things hardly go smoothly and the author doesn't just ignore the issue of imprinting, choosing to address and resolve it in a very interesting way.

Day 8: The Avengers and an X-Men rec )

Day 9: Glee rec )

Day 10: The Mummy rec )

Rachel Berry/Noah Puckerman

Welcome to the absolutely ridiculous list of Puck/Rachel recs. I've been meaning to write one of these up for ages, and just got too intimidated by the sheer amount of AWESOME that is available. Seriously, this is one of the most vibrant pairings with some of the best writers that I've ever encountered.

NOTE: I have also included author links. I'm only trying to rec one or two stories per author, but know that the ones recced are the best or best intro'd to the author's work. Every single author linked has more than one Puck/Rachel story, so please, please, please click the author link and read the rest of their stuff. My favorites I've marked with a *.

What a pair of delinquents. )

Why This Must Be Read
: First the summary because it explains so much: It took 372 years for the red winter moon to reappear. In 2010, 13 young people are forever changed by that moon. Ensemble. Science fiction-y/supernatural/humor. Puckleberry-blinders now. McKinley Glee club and Blaine. Swear words galore. A pretty perfect depiction of what would happen if these kids ever got superpowers. Hilarious and sweet it's basically candy coated good times with superpowers.
