Fandom Category: Silence of the Lambs
Pairing: Clarice Starling/Hannibal Lecter
Fic Title: Breaking Free
Author: BookishGal
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7464446/1/Breaking_Free
Rating/Warning(s): Mature/mentions past cannibalism, murder, torture
Genre: Drama, Violence, Angst, Romance
WIP?: No
Special Rec: 20 of 22
Why This Must Be Read: Author's summary: Incarceration is merely a minor inconvenience when Hannibal Lecter begins playing a delicate game with Clarice Starling. This is a very unusally dark story for me to read, especially considering the pairing. But the author does a beautiful job of just drawing you into a graceful and yet strangely inevitable dance between Hannibal and Clarice. It is a subtle story that is told from both pov's which is beautiful because we get to see how Clarice and Hannibal see each other and how they see their relationship. But what I really love about it is the fact that Clarice is not a victim, she is a strong woman who makes her own decisions and her own choices. I can't really get into to many specifics as it would give away to much but give this story a chance you won't regret it.
