Story Summary: An unexpected connection is found between Hermione and Professor Snape, but that's only the start of her headaches. Being her father's daughter is one thing. Being her mother's daughter is something else entirely.
Why This Must Be Read: An excellent reinvention of the Harry Potter series focusing on Hermione Granger. The story is actually a kind of crossover with the Necroscope series, but knowledge beforehand of that series isn't really necessary, as Chelleybean provides the needed information within the story. Full of surprises and twists, ChelleyBean provides a supremely entertaining tale of how Hermione was adopted at birth and all that comes from that.
Hermione/Cedric is a fairly well-known pairing and while the romance is not the main focus of the story, it is woven into the main plot with a deft hand. The build-up of the pairing is excellent, watching the two become friends over the course of the early chapters combined with the knowledge of what is to come at the end of Hermione's fourth year at Hogwarts. Plus, as always, Professor Dumbledore seems to know a hell of a lot more than he lets on, but that's pretty much par for the course.
A thrilling story well worth the read and adding it to your alert list at ff.net.
