Fandom Category: Inception
Pairing: Ariadne/Arthur
Fic Title: A Citizen of You
Author: Misbegotten
Link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/182154
Rating/Warning(s): Very very Mature
Genre: post-movie
WIP?:No
Why This Must Be Read: The author writes a very lyrical version of Ariadne and Arthur, post-job. Her characterization of Arthur as the reserved researcher is spot-on, and Ariadne is a good counter-point to his interest and intensity. It's not very long, just a few hundred words, but the author manages to paint a picture of what could possibly be that makes you want to fit this into your head-canon.

Rating/Warning(s):Very Mature
Genre: Romance
WIP?:No
Why This Must Be Read: I am fairly sure this is one of the first Ariadne/Arthur fics I stumbled across when I went looking. I tend to like stories told in scenes, and I really loved how honey_wheeler characterized Ariadne: a little naive about the world she's entering but at the same time more than willing to become an active participant. Her interactions with Arthur build up to the ending, which I think is a perfectly fitting way to end the story without drawing things out.

Fic Title: A Serious Man
Author:oldseafarer

Rating/Warning(s): None
Genre: Romance, character introspection
WIP?:No
Why This Must Be Read: This is a great look into Arthur's head: his perception of himself, his carefully cultivated image, and his feelings about his co-workers, including that young college student that Dom pulls in. It's a story about the evolution of something slowly creeping into your life. There's a parallel to Pride & Prejudice that also sets the theme. The interactions between all the characters and Arthur, though told from only Arthur's perspective, still manage to build a complete pictures of the man, the myth, the mystery - especially Ariadne.
