Why This Must Be Read: This piece is funny and adorable and the pacing is amazing. It's little snippets of the developing friendship between Max and Alec over the years and their transition through season 2 into becoming the leaders of TC. Amazing piece. Shows a lot of the outside POV of people who think Max and Alec are together before they are. I've read this fic at least four times.

Why This Must Be Read: Alec hunts monkeys. No, seriously. And if thats not enough for you - it's Max and Alec stranded on an island together. The build up of chemistry and attention to detail is so intense that it will blow you away.

Why This Must Be Read: One of those Alec and Max mate during 2x01 Designate This, but with a twist - neither one of them knows whats happening to them, just that their instincts are dragging them together. Funny at moments, incredibly sexy and exciting. I jump up and down every time she updates. A great look at the combination of animal instincts functioning on a subconscious level and the conscious human control.
