Why This Must Be Read:  This is the first installment of a three-parter, it starts out Max/Logan and leads into Max/Alec in the sequels.  Novel-esque and excellent writing.  Especially good supporting characters and intriguing side plots.  One of my very favorite novel-length Dark Angel fics, the author does a great job not only with the tension/attraction between Max and Alec, but also of bringing the DA world to life and pulling you into the transgenic cause.  Make sure to read the 2 sequels!
