Blurb: Prison Break ended last year after four seasons, so everything I say here is spoilery if you haven't seen the whole series. In the first season, the 'ship dynamic is set up quite tellingly--there are two primary ships: Lincoln/Veronica and Michael/Sara. During the summer hiatus between S1 and S2, I found myself writing a backstory for the L/V 'ship, and gave them a rich history. I was madly in love with this pairing (and the character of Lincoln), and found the few stories in the fandom that paired Linc and Sara to be virtual blasphemies against my OTP. Then in episode 2x01, TPTB killed Veronica. From my devastation, a cathartic fanfic spawned, and a deep and abiding love arose for Lincoln and Sara. The characters were each well drawn and set up so that when you paired them in fic, their natural strengths made them quite a sexy combination. They both had substance abuse problems that were left unexplored in the canon of the show, and in reality, over the course of the first two seasons, the characters shared a total of about five scenes. And yet, their power together is undeniable. This is one of the ultimate truly non-existent OTPs of all time, IMHO. And here are various fics (that I love) to whet your appetite! Enjoy! Why This Must Be Read: Set in Season 3 when Michael is in a Panamanian prison, and Lincoln and Sara are trying to get him out. Their addict tendencies get them into a bit of trouble, but the reality is that Lincoln has developed real feelings for Sara, and Sara, is, well, confused.

Those are all listed in the order that you should read them in for continuity's sake. THE ANGSTIEST ANGST THAT EVER ANGSTED!
