Why This Must Be Read: An amazing story. Long, plotty drama, with excellent charactization and a wonderful exploration of the line between humanity and cylon. This AU exists on the premise that Lee Adama is one of the cylons, number twelve. Starbuck, Apollo and Adama are extraordinarily well-done, flawed but not overly (which is an issue I have come to have with canon Starbuck and Apollo). The story explores a lot of the themes that eventually came up in the show, but it was written quite a while ago.

Check it out. Definitely one of the best reads in BSG out there.

Why This Must Be Read:Because there are so few of us out there who actually write Carson/Teyla, Deidre's fic is one of the first and best that I read when I came to love this pairing. It has everything a person could want. It's long, it's plotty, her character voices are spot on and the sex is believable and hot. Teyla is offworld helping Carson with the medical care of a village when an outbreak of something occurs. In finding out what that something is, she starts to think about what kind of man Carson is and begins to give thought to her feelings for him. In turn she finds that he reciprocates her feelings, but much of this discovery must be put on hold until a cure is found. It's hard to live up to such a high standard as this fic gives, especially as it's the only Carson/Teyla Deidre has written.

Why This Must Be Read: Bittersweet but lovely. Fia is the person who introduced me to Carson/Teyla in the first place and all blame for me becoming a C/T writer lies squarely at her feet. A short, but moving fic that briefly sketches the romance of Carson and Teyla. After the events of "Sunday", Teyla reflects on what they had together and gets a surprise.

Why This Must Be Read: Based on rumors of what was going to happen in the fourth season (which turned out to be not true), Fia paints a picture of what could have happened after the events of "Sunday". It's a twist that many of us wish had actually happened, even after the show gave us a different canon. Teyla is surrounded by the love of her team as she deals with the loss of Carson and the eventual news that she carries his child. How they deal with it is both funny and sweet and so very them. When Carson comes back, he's has no memory of his life before the explosion causing her even more pain. But the struggle as he finds his way back to their love is worth reading about, ending perfectly.

Why This Must Be Read: A gorgeous little bit of porn to steam up any sad and dreary day. Teyla uses emotional blackmail to keep Carson safe. They're both stubborn about the consequences until Teyla shows up in Carson's bed and basically proposes to him while seducing him at the same time. Fia is always in character, the sex is yummy and extra sparkly e-cookies to those who spot the tongue in cheek meta that she uses.
