Rating/Warning(s): Both stories are NC-17 for sexual content, and the second for violence.
Genre: Action/adventure, suspense, friendship, UST, romance. "Killer in the Classroom" is also a casefile and mystery.
WIP?: Both stories are complete.
Why This Must Be Read: I'm lumping these two together because the second follows the first very closely time-wise, and while you don't 100% need to have read the first to like the second... it helps. With that out of the way, these stories are excellent stories on their own merits. "War in the Woods" is an amazing character profile for each of the extended cast. The author has an amazing and instinctual grasp of each of the characters and keeps them very much in their moments. It's not a fluffy story, but you walk away feeling closer to each of the characters.
"Killer in the Classroom" is off in its own league. A conversation I've had, regularly, with another fandom friend is that it feels like (lately) a lot of authors have run screaming from the idea of a plot. That short pwp (plot, what plot?/porn without plot, et al) stories are all the rage and good, deep, casefiles and stories have fallen by the wayside. This story takes that thought out behind the woodshed and shoots it with a high caliber round. While there is romance, this is first, and foremost, a mystery. It's fascinating, deep, intelligently plotted, and will completely blindside you in the best of ways.
