Why This Must Be Read: Sam and Leah are both pretty minor characters in the Twilight series, but a good amount of the fans would agree that the marginal characters of the books are the most interesting. Leah and Sam's tragic story is only briefly explained in canon, leaving much up to the imagination, and flowrs4ophelia develops the relationship in a surprising but believable way. If Leah hardly resembles the embittered character we know from the series, it adds to the slow building sense of disaster that awaits at the edges of their young love; Sam is true blue, passionately in love and a good kid, but only as long as he can help it.
