Why This Must Be Read: Summary: Weir is left with questions for Caldwell, some of which are more personal than others.

There aren't a lot of Weir/Caldwell fics out there, and this, imo, is the absolute best. It's subtle and evocative and maintains the great tension between the two commanders even as it develops their chemistry and camaraderie. The characterization is just spot on for both, and the gentle build up pays off spectacularly. A must read.

Why This Must Be Read: Summary: When a rescue mission goes FUBAR, McKay and Keller find themselves racing a ticking clock to save Sheppard's life on a lethal, frozen world.

This is a great, long, plotty fic that strands Keller and McKay in the middle of off-world chaos. Jennifer is far from prepared for it, and she gets a crash course in Rodney McKay, as well as what it really means to be part of Atlantis, and a team. I love how tight the characterizations are: Rodney's shrillness, Jennifer's fear and lack of training, all apparent, but not overdone. Their slow bond is believable and gradual and lovely as they deal with scary and horrfying curcumstances. I love a relationship that develops under fire.
