Why This Must Be Read: if you loved the show for all his moral ambiguity, twisted family dinamics and suspence, then the series finale left you missing a certain sense of closure. This is the fic that will fix that for you. It takes place 4 years after last episode of the series and it has Nick finally confronting the responsible party for whole the Simon Elder mess, looking back on his past to embrace his future. You get to resolve the big mistery and know how the family coped with the aftermath of all.
And you enjoyed the reading, Tripp' s epilogue to the series is just as good:  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5005078/1/The_Legacy . It's from the same author and it has Trip owning up to who he is and what he is leaving behind after everything is said and done. Beautiful.

Epic! This is just the story I've been craving since Catching Fire and Mockingbird introduced Finnick and Annie. The characterizations are love, the plot is fabulous and the pacing is perfect for an adventure in the arena. The first person point of view caught me off-guard (although I am not sure why), but it's very well done here — everything coming from Finnick sounds like the canon!Finnick. Definitely a fic for everyone even if you're not usually a (canon) pairing reader.

Summary: Stuck on Earth with River Song, the Doctor has to cope with domesticity and marriage. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a fantastic little one-shot between Eleven and River, where they are stranded in the 1950s after the TARDIS is hijacked, and they have to make do: as husband and wife. It's light-hearted and fun between them, and it doesn't have the usual intricate, timey-whimey themes as most stories have with this couple. The author picks up on their wonderful chemistry, and their characterizations are brilliant. It's also amusing to see River put herself out there and subtly seduce the Doctor while he's trying to get the TARDIS back. Very fun little story!

I'm struggling to try to put into words the amazingness of this story. JJ has crafted a fully formed AU world, including a cast of supporting characters, that will take your breath away and leave you speechless.

This is not the Logan and Marie that we know from the movies, but it's a version of them that is believable and so very real.

Why This Must Be Read: This fic is written by mylittleredgirl, and I worship her fics. She is a deft writer, and explores so wonderfully the dynamics of whatever pairing she chooses to write for. This is no exception. There's always been, canon-wise, a sense of mutual admiration and a touch of friendship between Elizabeth and Jack. This fic takes that and pushes it into the next level.

Why This Must Be Read: The romance between Tonks and Lupin was wonderfully unexpected, and pleasantly out-of-the-box in canon that often went conventional with its pairings.  It also seemed to have come out of nowhere, which was a shame for two such interesting figures.  jncar fills in the blanks, and you'll wish JKR was this thorough, really.
