Why This Must Be Read: All I know about Twilight I learned from fanfic. It's true -- I've never read the books or seen any of the movies except the first one, and yet I can't stop myself from stalking parts of Twilight's fandom because of the completely ridiculous number of talented writers and rockin' stories it has spawned. This story is a perfect example -- I started it early and it kept me up late, and when I was done I turned about and re-read it. Simply put, this story is so hot it will burn a hole in your brain. It's a straightforward idea (and one that shows up frequently in WolfPack fics) -- Paul (the pack jerk, whose last name is a changeable as his character -- I think it's Miller in the story, but I've used LaHote because I think it's canon) imprints on Bella, and the two of them spend many gorgeous chapters trying to stay apart and failing completely. It's awesome. And hot. And sweet. And hot. Just read it, okay?

Why This Must Be Read: A wonderfully hot fic that deals with Kono's emotional turmoil after a bad day, and how she's not the only one thrown for a loop. Steven and Kono's characterization is perfect and I loved that the story isn't just about the sex (which is hot) but also about them and everything they'd shared and how Kono is awesome and strong, but she is not without her vulnerability and her uncertainties. Great read!

Why This Must Be Read: Possibly one of my favorite LOTR stories ever. The canon information about Lothiriel and Eomer and their circumstances is left curiously sparse, leaving writers to interpret the tale in their own manner, and this one is probably my favorite for the pairing. Eomer knows he must marry, and believes it best to find a lady from Gondor, to further the bonds between the two countries. However, in seeking a Gondorian bride, he finds himself faced with Lothiriel, a princess of Dol Amroth who also happens to be blind. The author writes a delightful story of two people falling in love and working to overcome a handicap that, in societies like Gondor's and Rohan's, would ordinarily be an impossible hurdle to get past. Lothiriel is written delightfully, and will make you smile and laugh, and Eomer's sense of humor is also wonderful. An amazing story.

Why This Must Be Read: Not that many people write (or read) this ship. And it's not one of my favs in this fandom, but mrstater writes them so lovely and in character :) It takes place right after the events in the first episode of season 1 and describes the first meeting between Richard and Mary. It's an AU that asks 'what if Mary met Richard before she met Matthew?'

Expert:
Sir Richard chuckles, low and rumbling, and when her eyes meet the blue ones again the twinkle tells her he knows that she knows who he is, but that he'll play along with her little game. As that sort of person must, Mary reminds herself.

Although when he speaks, she isn't entirely sure it is her game, after all.
