Why This Must Be Read: First of all, it needs to be said that this fic takes place in an alternate universe where Arthur Light is not a rapist. Okay, with that out of the way, I have to say this is one of my favorite romantic DCU het fics. Kimiyo Hoshi, aka the good Dr. Light, has agreed to go on a date with her counterpart, Arthur Light, the evil Dr. Light. She finds herself enjoying the date, and him, more than she expected.

A forbidden heroine/villain romance, identity porn, and some creative uses of superpowers in bed push all sorts of buttons for me, plus the way the characters are written means they are *anything* but paint-by-numbers. Kimiyo is intellectual, heroic, but not always personable, a woman with more on her mind than falling in love, but finding herself tip-toeing that direction anyway. Arthur, while not on the side of angels, is charming enough that when Kimiyo takes a chance on him we're thrilled for him. I won't give away a very unexpected and funny cameo appearance by another DC supervillain, other than to say oh my, the travails of a single superhuman in the dating scene!

The author has several other stories with this pairing, some set in the same universe, and others with a darker aspect to them. Highly recommended!

Why This Must Be Read: This story is an account on what happens when Nick has to come clean to Juliette about...well, everything. I enjoyed this story because Juliette acts naturally - or what I think would be naturally. She's disappointed, but she doesn't lose it or get all ticked off. She lets her brain work with her heart - she doesn't shut off her logic just because of the surprise.
