Why This Must Be Read: First off, you should read this quick before Hook shows up in canon and this becomes OOC. I admit, when I saw the pairing my immediate reaction was "no" but I couldn't be happier I gave it a try. The gang in fairy tale land is trying to get information out of Hook and he'll only talk to Aurora, who's still dealing with Philip's loss. Hook does his pirate best to intimidate and manipulate her and the interplay between them is fascinating to watch.

Why This Must Be Read: First of all, Miss Parker and Jarod have a lot of baggage to carry on their own, and they have a lot of baggage together, too. So really, perfect for this day. Second, when I re-read this fic today, I hoped that it hadn't been recced here before, and was both relieved and sad to find out that no, it wasn't. This fic is so perfect, anr captured the characters perfectly. And really, the show could have ended this way, and this would have been, like I said, perfect! Now, go read it!

Why This Must Be Read: He's the boy who psychologically tortured her for a year, and she's the girl who ends up marrying the hero; it's hard for a pairing to have more baggage than that. But I can't help but love Tom and Ginny in all their fucked-up glory. As the author demonstrates beautifully in this piece Ginny will always be haunted by the diary and will never really escape Tom.

It's just a name just a name just a name she repeats but of course it's not. No name is just a name. (Tom taught you that.) And this name is less of a just a name than any other Ginny has ever heard.
