Firely and Doctor Who is a relatively common crossover choice. This pairing isn't, but this story makes me ache for what could be. Set after Journey's End and Serenity (the film), Rose finds herself on Serenity, and meets the captain. It's wonderfully intriguing to see two damaged souls as they get to know each other.

Why This Must Be Read: I don't read that kind of fic usually, but since I wanted to rec for today too, I found this one. This is a beautiful fic that is set post 'The Reichenbach Fall' and it deals with Watson's reaction to what happened in the episode. The OC is great, I love her quite a lot, and the relationship is really believable. You'll need tissues here and there, because this is not a happy fic at times.
