Why This Must Be Read: Okay, please don't let the warnings scare you off. This fic is so good. Uther is captured by Nimueh and locked away for ten years. Then, suddenly, she releases him, and a young woman named Anna nurses him back to health. But she's headstrong and wild, and insists on accompanying him back to Camelot to find Arthur. The fic is based on Oldboy, so if you've seen the movie you'll know it's not light fare, but this Uther is at once vulnerable, and still as wary of magic as ever. It stands at over 20,000 words long, so put aside some time.
