Why This Must Be Read: Thic fic is smutty – it has Bonnie and Damon experimenting a little, bedroom-wise, and Damon resentfully liking the way Bonnie goes all dominant on him. Yet, this fic ends not being about the sex at all – the contest can be a friends-with-benefits relationship, but there are palpable undertones of trust, and desire and two strong, willful people discovering they stumbled on the edge of something more than lust. It was among the first Bamon fics I’ve ever read, and I still remember it as one of my very favorites.
