Author’s Summary: Stella Bell was a witch and a bastard, striving for gentility on Tortuga. James Norrington was an angry drunkard desirous of revenge. Both were bitter as bile, and certainly didn't expect to be friends. Funny ol' world, innit?
Why This Must Be Read: I love James Norrington. I am still mad over his fate. Very mad. This fic has soothed my anger. It is well-written, extremely well-researched (the author has definitely put time and thought into everything), funny, all the canon characters are perfectly portrayed and it is a very satisfying epic read. Now. I know people have issues with OFCs. Stella is how it should be done. She is flawed and she is capable, smart and (once again) well-written. Do give this a chance.
You also get some very believable back-story on everyone which is always fun. It might be a little harsh on some of the canon characters, but imho, reasonably so.
