Why This Must Be Read: Post war fic that really captures the spirit of both of these characters. It deals with Neville's feelings about being a hero and about his parents. I just love how it's a serious fic, but Luna is still Luna. I really love the ending especially.

Why This Must Be Read: This is by far one of my favorite fics ever written, and definitely my favorite Remus/Tonks fic. I think it's partly because of how closely this Remus matches my personal characterization of Remus: shy, a little unsure and a tiny bit bewildered by everything at times, has stood up and suffered tragedy after tragedy and comes out on the other side again and just keeps going, dealing with the loss of his best friend the only way he knows how, by continuing on. And her Tonks is loud and fun but also caring, and how she brings them together in such a believable, honest, touching way is great, injecting it with humor and angst and backstory along the way. You won't believe she could pack it all into a single oneshot. The fact that it is a songfic based around Damn by Matchbox 20? That just makes it a gazillion times better for me. It's been saved for last because it's the best. In fact, I think I'm off to read it again.
