Why This Must Be Read: I am a sucker for "almost/not quite" fics, and
this one gives it in spades. Their relationship is deceptively easy here, made
up of stolen moments and the banter they're so famous for (and good at) and yet
it keeps an air of doomed truth that's both poetic and longing. Just a beautiful
piece all the way around.
