Why This Must Be Read: This story is the happy ending I have always wanted for this traditonally tragic pairing. Coming Home starts after the series finale, Nick returns and Natalie is waiting. I loved how determined Natalie is to take care of a very weakened Nick and how resolved she is about how this time it will all be different between the two of them. Her strength of will, and the depth of their love see them through, to their earned happy ending! :D

Why This Must Be Read: Author's summary:Nick shoved Natalie aside and headed for the door; they were not nearly finished and she'd be damned if she'd let him walk away. This story is so well written, about a very tough subject. Amilyn's story made me take a hard look at some of the darker more dysfunctional aspects of Nick and Natalie's relationship and how it could have all gone horribly wrong. But I think that it also transcends the show in that fact that if you took out the supernatural aspects it reads like an abusive relationship in a downward spiral. Both Nick and Natalie keep repeating the same patterns unable or unwilling to change. As you can tell I loved it. Give it a chance you won't regret it.
