Why This Must Be Read: bantha_fodder will be rec'd here a lot because the work is so good. With an exiguous style employed by the author this fic (and all subsequent recs) allows room for subtlety between the text, giving you an opportunity to peek into the character's introspection. This gives an otherwise deceiving sparseness depth. It follows the journey of the ghola Duncan as he serves House Atredies under Alia's reign as Regent. Duncan's support of his wife plays into direct conflict with his loyalty to House Atredies.
