Why This Must Be Read: A longish story that explores Chloe/Alex after the show's big cliffhanger. Though the author either started writing this before the season finale aired, or she just decided to change bits of the ending, I'm not sure. Either way, there are changes to the narrative like Brian not "dying" (which, given canon, is actually up in the air). This story is set the summer after, and is really just a fannish wish fulfillment in seeing Chloe and Alex work things out.
