Why This Must Be Read: In the year 2024 cyborg turned Resistance soldier Marcus Wright will partake in the most important mission of his new life, save Kyle Reese from the T-800 in 1984. But can the strands of time really be changed so simply and destiny fooled so easily? A story of love, second chances, and sacrifices set post Judgment-Day. Awesome look into Terminator Salvation, and the world there, and how that could cut back to changing the past if only Marcus had lived. Give it a go if you love this 'verse as much as I do.

Why This Must Be Read: Set Post Terminator Salvation, Kate struggles to understand her own role as a leader while still being a wife. A lovely look at John/Kate in the hellish aftermath of Salvation, and I just love how their connection and feelings run through the length of this fic so well. Kate's strength and voice is so strong, and John is, here, not the leader of the resistance so much as he's just a banged-up guy and a husband. This pairing gives me so many feels, and I really wish there was more fics centered around them.

Why This Must Be Read: Long, plotty Terminator fic that is just perfectly written for this verse. I was waiting for this story to be complete before reccing, but I've known I was going to rec it for a while as it slowly built chapter by chapter. The action, the complexity of their situation, and best of all, the author posits Kate Brewster front and center as she goes from being a passanger in John Connor's fate to an integral part in it. This romance is more slow-burning than I would have expected, but I guess that makes sense as there's, y'know, an apocalypse going on and they've got to keep focused. But the characterization and the journey is deflty written. Another thing that has my envy, and I say this because I myself struggle with it as a writer, is the action sequences. Very, very well written, with detail and grit and a thousand small details that make you think the author just lived and breathed this verse.
