Why This Must Be Read: First the summary, because it says it all: When his wife leaves him for a man half her age, Harry has trouble getting back on the horse. His children, bless them, don't make it much easier.

Lots of people did not love the epilogue JK wrote, for different reasons I'm sure, but one of the more obvious ones (at least how I saw it) is that it close off the idea of possibilities for the non-canon shippers. This fic DOESN'T disregard the epilogue. In fact it keeps it in tact for a few more years before it throws a wrench into it. AND HOW. The affects of Ginny's affair on her family are painfully realistic and sometimes unintentionally hilarious. Harry Potter, you'll never stop being a socially awkward penguin. The build up on Harry and Luna's relationship is organic and seeped with easy friendship and support, and not once is Harry and Ginny's relationship undermined during this. Harry and Ginny's kids in this fic deserve a spin off series of their own for the PURE AWESOME they bring to the table. Albus Severus is a ray of sunshine and snark during the tumultuous time his family is having. And lets not forget Draco Malfoy, whose cameos are made of pure GOLD.

Seriously even if never in your life you've thought about shipping Harry/Luna I recommend this fic 1000% for its supporting characters and Harry's relationship with his kids. YOU WILL SMILE FOREVER.

Why This Must Be Read: I very rarely read HP fic, and don't really ship anyone (besides Tonks/Lupin) hardcore, but this is just lovely. Set in (obviously) a post-HBP AU future Luna decided to visit Harry to talk about certain things. Luna's pov is lovely here, sweet and quirky, and very much self aware like Luna herself. Harry is drawn realistically in this, flawed and just plain tired, but even so his affection for Luna shines through. Just an adorable read.
