Why This Must Be Read: Author's summary:Mr and Mrs Jones, they had called themselves. Naturally, the neighbours had begun to gossip. There are a lot of well written fics about the time Martha and the Doctor spent in 1969. I recently read this one and loved it! We get to see what the neighbors thought of the newest addition to the neighborhood. It is a sweet and funny take on Martha and the Doctor's sojorn in 1969 and how that could have changed things between them.

Why This Must Be Read: I view Martha and Nine as two underappreciated aspects of Doctor Who that would be amazing together. There's not a whole lot of fic of them out there, but what's there is worth the read. Bloody Nature is a retelling of the Human Nature/Family of Blood arc from Season 3, only with Nine instead of Ten, and located in Cardiff 1926. In this story, the Doctor hides as John "Johnny Big Ears" Smith, a dock worker in Cardiff, while Martha works as a nurse in the poor areas of the city. This story examines the social issues of the time, while also slowly bringing together Martha and "Johnny". That is, until the Family forces things to a head.

Why This Must Be Read: Wow. Just seriously, wow. If there has ever been a fic that has made me go, gosh, why didn't the series go like this, this is one of 'em. Martha Jones and the Ninth Doctor. People who appreciated her as a character need to go read this fic, because it's a wonderful, long, plotty fic that features an interesting twist. Martha accidentally finds herself in the wrong Doctor's TARDIS. But sorting out that confusion is put on hold as they must come to the aid of the Librarian and stop a mysterious alien from erasing the significant intergalactic achievements across the universe. The character voices are stunningly accurate, and the journey of the Ninth Doctor's initial suspicion to begrudging tolerance to growing respect and then true friendship is awesome. Plus, Martha's dalliance with another doctor gets to both the heart of her insecurities and her relationship with the Tenth Doctor, and establishes a great caper that would highlight the true gift of Martha.

Love it. You all should read it!

Why This Must Be Read: Martha meets up with the Doctor, Rory, and Amy and decides to go on one more adventure.  Like most of her adventures with the Doctor it doesn't go as planned, and the whole party gets stuck.  The best part is that the Doctor and Martha hold still long enough to talk each other and that is just the beginning.  What I liked about this story is the believability of Martha/Eleven and the fact that it has romance and humor, what more could you ask for.   This story is very long and satisfying read, Enjoy!
