Why This Must Be Read: . This story is part of her Eurydiceverse, and while you don't have to read the other ones as they are all able to stand alone, I suggest you do. All of her stories get inside you and strike your very core. Her characterizations are always so in depth and delve deeper into the dark parts of these character's psyches better than most are capable of and then she lays it all out as beautiful and as heartbreaking as possible. This story is mostly Jack and Vala, but it's also about how people love, in every aspect of the word. It's about the love one has for their team, for their family, for their lover - how it's not always simple and neat.
