Why this must be read:
Not everyone understands, but Teyla isn’t much concerned about everyone. She knows what she sees in him
First off, this is one of my favourite Rodney/Teyla fics. I love seeing Rodney through Teyla's eyes and the way he handles their courtship, and it really is a courtship, which is just the sweetest thing! The fic takes place while Teyla waits for Rodney to finish a project with Radek and Chuck and so you really get to see both sides of Rodney-the egotistical and sarcastic scientist and the shy and sensitive man. The author really gets the balance right with Rodney because he is by no means a perfect boyfriend, but he recognises what he has done wrong, instead of being completely insensitive to it.
