het_reccers presents the second round of a project designed to show off your OTPs! The last one produced nearly 40 awesome recs lists, and so we're doing it again!

Got a favorite pairing? That One True Pairing that is your sole or primary interest in a given fandom? Well, time to REPRESENT! Do a "Shipper's Manifest" for that pairing. This is a public declaration of fannish love for a particular pairing or ship, but unlike ship_manifesto, our comm is centered around - you guessed it - fanfiction recommendations!

Timeline:
Sign ups - until August 20th, noon PST.
Manifests should be posted to the comm by no later than August 31st, 2010. You can start submitting anytime.

Sign-ups: So, you've got an OTP in mind, right?
→ Sign up to claim it by dropping a note to this post!
→ First come, first serve - only one person can claim a pairing at a time.
→ If you signed up for the last round, you may not choose the same pairing/fandom again.
→ You may sign up for more than one pairing only after August 20th. We first want to give everybody the chance to participate and sign up. Until then, you only get one selection.
→ Next round won't begin until another six months have passed.
→ You must be willing to rec at least 10 fanfiction recommendations. Only under dire circumstances (as in, there is just a dearth of good fic) should you rec less than ten.
→ As per comm rules, only het pairings are allowed, but you're free to choose any het pairing from any fandom, anywhere. ;)


What should be included in the Shipper Manifest?
Your posts should include:

Pairing:
Blurb: [Tell us about why you choose to ship this pairing. Talk about the characters, the relationship, the canon, the fandom - be as detailed or as brief as you like! Sell us on the awesomeness of your OTP!]

Then list your recs.

Use one of the following templates to make your Shipper Manifesto post. Either list your top TEN recs of said pairing/fandom, using a truncated version of our standard het_reccers format, OR you can use an alternative template, which asks for a variety of different types of fics. (i.e. Alternative Reality, Best Angst, Best Smut.) If you don't think you've got enough variety to pull off the second template, you can always use the first standard one which asks for 10 recs of any flavor. ;) Because we're asking you to rec, at minimum, 10 fics, we've truncated the rec template to make it easier to fill out. Both templates are HTML format, so you can cut/paste for easy use!

Also, feel free to rec more than 10!
