Challenge One - SGA had 25 recs in two weeks.
Challenge two - BSG had 20 recs in two weeks.
Ongoing Challenge three - CSI has had 1 rec in one week.

... see the problem? We've got CSI, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY. Three shows for the price of one fandom! Where are all the recs?

Pairing: Lindsay Monroe/Danny Messer
Fic Title: Love is a Battlefield
Author:[livejournal.com profile] scoob2222
Link: Love is a Battlefield
Rating/Warning(s): R [Language]
Genre: Angst
WIP?: No...but it does have a sequel...Whatever It Takes

Why This Must Be Read: I'm a fan of all of Scoob's writing, and that includes the pairing of Danny/Lindsay. In this one, it's Danny trying to put his life together after Lindsay finds out what happened in Episode 4.16 "Right Next Door"...and she includes the other characters as well, with the opinions on how Danny handled things when it came to Lindsay. It's such a good read, I really think y'all may enjoy it...for the Danny/Lindsay shipper in us all.

Why This Must Be Read: This is the sequel to "Love is a Battlefield", both written by Scoob2222, and it reflects on Danny and Lindsay following the events of "Love is..."and let's face it...he makes her a mixed iPod, and who doesn't love that?

Walking Elizabeth Home and Cue the Joshua Radin Song
Rating/Warning(s): Sex, a little bad language
Genre: Romance
WIP?: Complete

Why This Must Be Read:
The fabulously hot and inexplicably perfect combo of Cameron Mitchell and Elizabeth Weir really makes sense to me. Curiously, or maybe not, almost every fic out there with them as a pairing is at least PG-13. I guess other people think they're a hot combo too, quite literally? My absolute favorite is the heart-breaking and hopeful at the same time, 12-part
Walking Elizabeth Home. In this AU, rather than dying in "First Strike," Elizabeth was rescued from the Asurans but is deemed too great a security risk to remain on Atlantis and is still recovering from her original pre-nanite injuries. Over the course of the very long journey back to Earth on the Mitchell-commanded Odyssey, Elizabeth grieves for Atlantis and everything that she has lost and tries to heal her emotional and physical wounds. I was completely bowled over by how Cam woos her subtly and devastatingly with his customary charm and humor. Do not miss the burning hot and emotionally satisfying coda, Cue the Joshua Radin Song either.

And In That Dreaming Weep
Rating/Warning(s): Sexual Suggestiveness
Genre: Angst Action/Adventure
WIP?: Complete

Why This Must Be Read:
[personal profile] tielan is both one of the best and most prolific John/Teyla fan fic writers out there. I would tell any fan interested in J/T stories to start with her work. She also writes as [personal profile] seldear. Her characterizations are thoughtful, sophisticated and insightful. Her premises are always creative and she never fails to intrigue me. This fic is an old one and bittersweet, which seems fitting as the show heads into its last few episodes. In it, John and Teyla are offworld when she is pulled into one of his nightmares and is saddened by how haunted and tortured John is. She awakens John to comfort him but their embrace turns intimate. Their chemistry is as crackling as ever but as Teyla confronts John over his refusal to accept that one day he will lose the team, her, Atlantis, the difference in the Earth and Pegasus viewpoint becomes clear. Tielan's stories are never just about the pairing and this one is no different; it too challenges the reader to think in a different way. You can find more of her work on FF and on under both pennames on her fanfic site. Neither has all of it. I urge you to go read her wonderful stories which span the gamut from AU to tragedy to novels to comedy to crackfic.

Poets of the Fall
Rating/Warning(s): poetry quotations
Genre: Character sketch
WIP?: Complete

Why This Must Be Read:
I should have recommended this a month ago when it was more seasonal rather than now when fall is ending. [livejournal.com profile] azure_horizon  really moved me with the short and sweet
Poets of the Fall. Like Sheppard, there is so much emotion and subtext swirling beneath the surface of this fic. Somehow she captures some of the emotions I associate with the season of autumn (regret, nostalgia, chances lost and new beginnings on the way) in here as well as some lovely and subtly telling interactions among the team, especially John and Teyla. This is ostensibly a team fic but John and Teyla communicate far more than the literal meanings of the words. In it, the team talks about autumn at a meal and some surprising things come to light. The characterizations are incredibly rich for such a short piece. I like the little comeuppance to Rodney's belief that he knows everything about John (when he really only knows what John allows him to know) and the way Ronon turns out to know so much more about John. I especially love how Teyla knows John and senses his emotions through their connection best of all.
