Yuletide! It's kind of a big deal.

Yuletide opened yesterday! Yuletide is a gen, het, and slash multifandom secret fiction exchange for obscure or rarely written fandoms, and every year it produces a massive amount of EXCELLENT fic in, like, hundreds of fandoms. This year they were over 2167 participants! Authors remain anonymous until the big reveal.

To celebrate this special event, het_reccers is extending it's "Holiday Themed Challenge" until January 10th, and now includes all Yuletide fics. I strongly, strongly encourage everybody over here to check it out. Also, yuletide is currently open for people to post fic recs: you can find recs, or you can cross-post recs. ;)

Why This Must Be Read: "Community" is one of the most hilarious shows to come out this season, and this author nails every single character and relationship dynamic like they're writing for the show. Jeff is especially wonderfully drawn, and his interaction with each of the characters, particularly Britta and Annie, is a real treat. I almost feel like this is exactly how the show will go over the next few years. It begins after graduation, with a series of fake!flashbacks, and chronicles Jeff's history with the group leading up to their reunion night. If you're a fan of this show, you'll love this.
