Anyway, sometime around two years ago today, peanutbutterer and I were having some epic, snarktastic chat in which we both lamented and bitched about the fact that most reccing comms catered almost exclusively to slash. Then, a lightbulb went off. het_reccers was born. Two years later, we have thousands upon thousands of recs, in hundreds of varieties in fandoms and ships, and we've got a huge membership that grows all the time. This comm rocks my socks.

To celebrate the two year anniversary, and the 50th challenge, we decided to offer a selection that anyone and everyone can participate in.

Why This Must Be Read: There's something very beautiful about this story, in the way it's structured and paced and written. With an extremely well handled second person pov -- and an absence of quotation marks to separate the dialogue from the text -- their conversations flow smoothly throughout, keeping you enthralled from start to finish. Just lovely.
