Why This Must Be Read: I'm putting these three fic into one rec post because while each one is a self contained story they are more of a series when looked at together. What I like best about how the author approaches Rachel and Puck is that they don't make excuses for them, instead they make understand them. Rachel and Puck aren't by any means nice people. They want to be, but sometimes fail at it and then try again, sometimes failing again. These fics are a little later in their lives, the first following Rachel's life after highschool and slowly we have Puck introduced. So, arguably, these versions of Puck and Rachel are a bit more settled into their skin, but they are not completely new people with their lives figured out.   The post highschool fic has become a staple in the Glee fanfiction world, and this one of the best ones I've read.

Why This Must Be Read: I loved Taylor Townsend and when the show paired her up with Ryan in season 4, it was like a gift to me. This fic however takes place before season four, in the summer after the finale of season 3, making this an AU. It doesn't shy away from mentioning Marissa and does an honestly lovely job of putting Ryan and Taylor in a realistic situation where you can see the possibility that this couple could be.

Why This Must Be Read: Following the recent ep where Caroline ends up befriending Tyler, I realized I had a new ship for this show. This story is gorgeously written. Caroline's POV is just so fabulous and perfect, equal parts sarcastic and kickass and yet still that vulnerable teenager we know she can be. And Tyler, with his anger issues, is really very well written too. If we see this side of him more on the show, I could be a huge fan.

A fully developed, "slow burn" relationship between these two in a one-shot. Very awesome.
