Part 2 - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5975686/1/And_So_We_Run_Redux_Part_II
Rating/Warning(s):   PG-13
Genre:   Romance/Adventure
WIP?:   Nope!  :D

Why This Must Be Read:   We know Gale got the Everdeens out. We don't know how or who else. When the Quarter Quell came to it's shattering conclusion, a whole new game of survival begins with a desperate escape from the Mayor's home.

Adventure, comedy, and romance all play a balancing act beneath the shadow of rebellion and war.  This writer does a wonderful job of not only filling out Gale and Madge as characters, but she also pulls you into the world of Panem and the war.  Part 1 shows Gale and Madge escaping District 12 and their separate struggles in the outside wilderness before they meet up again and learn to work with one another.  Part 2 explores Gale and Madge's roles in the war and further shows you the romance blossoming between them.  This author also writes Katness/Peeta extremely well.  Check out her great one-shots for Madge/Gale and her very popular Finnick/Annie fic.  Written after Catching Fire, so AU for book 3.

Fic Title:  Peeta's Honeymoon Survival Kit
Author:  Medea Smyke

Rating/Warning(s):  PG-13
Genre:  Humor
WIP?:  Yes, but updated regularly

Why This Must Be Read:  What could Peeta possibly need for his honeymoon? Lord knows. Good thing he's got such good friends, like Gale and Finnick, to help him figure it all out. Rated T for innuendo and buffoonery. Mind yer retinas. P/K. Very AU.

You must read it because you must!  Hilarity and chaos as the Hunger Games characters go shopping to buy Peeta honeymoon gifts.  Will make you smile and snigger.  :)

I did a rewatch of the last two Hornblower movies this week, and then screwed up my courage and plunged into the Hornblower section on FF.Net.

Here are the only two Horatio/Maria stories I could find.

Why This Must Be Read:
We never really see how Horatio's feeling for Maria come to be, this story fills those missing bits in nicely.

Fandom: Sanctuary
Pairing: Helen Magnus//John Druitt
Fic title: Truth
Author: [livejournal.com profile] artaxastra
Link: Here
Rating: G
Genre: Angst, Romance, Family, Missing Scenes
WIP: No
Why this must be read: It's a beautiful sad look at Helen & John's relationship through the ways Helen lies about John to Ashley throughout Ashley's life and what happens when Ashley finds out the truth about her father. The richness of detail is breathtaking and the characters and situations are so three-dimensional and believable. I love how John is not just a bogey-man, he's real and Helen loved him. This is my personal canon.

Fandom: Sanctuary
Pairing: Helen Magnus//John Druitt
Fic title: Suns in Their Courses
Author: [livejournal.com profile] artaxastra
Link: Here
Rating: PG -for discussions of violence.
Genre: Romance, Banter, Angst, Hope
WIP: No
Why this must be read: Because its John and Helen in all their bantery glory, and they don't pretend the past didn't happen or that the other one is perfect. It's them as the flawed characters that they are and there's real believable hope at the end that completely fits them. I never finish reading this without a smile on my face.
