Rating/Warning(s): M
Genre: Romance/Humor
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: This story is a really sexy and fun version of how they got together. There is a slightly antagonistic dimension to their relationship here, which is not explored enough in fandom, especially considering how they were portrayed in the hangar scene from the movie.

Why This Must Be Read: This is the follow-up to the ever popular Miscommunication (but this story stands alone just fine) and I find it to be the most engaging story about the aftermath of the films' events, and also the most fitting with my head canon. All the characters are very well-rounded. The Spock/Uhura relationship understandably is a little more subdued here than the fireworks in Miscommunications, but they are very consistent and well-written.

Rating/Warning(s): PG-13.
Genre: Adventure, Romance, Friendship, Suspense
WIP?: Complete.

Why This Must Be Read: Because it's got pretty much everything. This is the third in the author's "Going Down To Georgia" series, and it really takes things out with a bang. I kept meaning to rec this (and have no excuse for not doing so earlier). It's just such a fun romp that's laced with suspense and awesome. Mind you, I think [livejournal.com profile] seren_ccd is completely incapable of telling a bad story, so I might be a smidge biased.

Why This Must Be Read: A not-so-secret fact about me is that I adore romance novels. All types, but there is ALWAYS a special place in my heart for Regencies. This is a reimage of the Reboot Crew in almost-not-quite Victorian England, and is chuck full of formal language, people falling in love, and Joanna McCoy being adorable. In my opinion, Reboot can NEVER have too much Joanna McCoy. Add on that [livejournal.com profile] fringedweller is such a great author? And this is nothing but sublime.

Pairing: Lily Evans/James Potter
Fic Title: 19½ First Dates

Rating/Warning(s): NC-17, Sex (consensual). I feel like it's also worth mentioning that both parties are underage.
Genre: Romance, with a side of Time Turning. Humor.
WIP?: No
Special Rec: 3/31

Why This Must Be Read: One of my biggest disappointments with the later HP books is that we never fully get to see how James changed and matured to get to the point where he was with Lily. This fic doesn't exactly do that, but it is a really fun look at how things could have happened. After Lily agrees to go to Hogsmeade with James, he uses a time turner to make sure that -- no matter what happens -- he gets another chance. Hilarity ensues. Great characterization, and some fun MWPP times mixed in. This is a really nice take on young James/Lily. I love the ending, too. Well-placed sexytimes are always a plus, in my book.
