Dee and John Pike (Mallory's parents) are one of the most popular pairings in the BSC fandom, believe it or not. I don't know anyone in the fandom who doesn't flail even a little at the thought of them.
This is an extension of a scene from book #121 Abby in Wonderland and it's done so beautifully. It really captures the fondness and love between Dee and John, and it weaves their own view and story into canon so perfectly I can't help but grin every time I read it.
It's - just - so - cute. ♥
