het_reccers presents the fifth round of our manifestos! Previous rounds are here.

Got a favorite pairing? That One True Pairing that is your sole or primary interest in a given fandom? Well, time to REPRESENT! Do a "Shipper's Manifest" for that pairing. This is a public declaration of fannish love for a particular pairing, and our comm is centered around - you guessed it - fanfiction recommendations!

Timeline:
Manifests should be posted to this comm by no later than September 3, 2012. You can start submitting immediately, and you can sign up to do a pairing until the very end (September 3).

Sign-ups and Rules: So, you've got a pairing in mind, right?
→ Sign up to claim it by dropping a note to this post!
→ First come, first serve - only one person can claim a pairing. (You can co-author a manifesto, though. Sign up with a buddy.)
→ You must be willing to rec at least 10 fanfiction recommendations. More is wonderful! Only under dire circumstances (as in, there is just a dearth of good fic) should you rec less than ten.
→ You must include a blurb about the ship. Essays, picspams, quotes, etc. No limit on length as long as your manifesto fits in one post.
→ If you signed up for the last "Shipper Manifesto" round, which was Round Five, you may not choose the same pairing/fandom again again. Let someone else get a crack at the pairing!
→ You may sign up for more than one pairing only after August 22nd. We first want to give everybody the chance to participate and sign up. Until then, you only get one selection.
→ Next round won't begin until another six months or so have passed.
→ As per comm rules, only het pairings are allowed, but you're free to choose any het pairing from any fandom, anywhere. ;)
→ No bashing of any kind - opposing ships, characters, fellow users, etc.
→ If you want to include a banner/graphic for your ship, it must be less than 400 x 250 pixels to go above the LJ-Cut. Otherwise, it goes with the blurb and recs underneath the lj-cut.
→ Try to rec us fics that have not already been recced on this comm. It's not mandatory, but it is appreciated.
→ No self-recs. WIP stories acceptable.
→ All other standard

What should be included in the Shipper Manifest?
Your posts should include:

Blurb: [Tell us about why you choose to ship this pairing. Talk about the characters, the relationship, the canon, the fandom - be as detailed or as brief as you like! Sell us on the awesomeness of your OTP!]

Then list your recs.

Use one of the following templates to make your Shipper Manifesto post. Either list your top TEN recs of said pairing/fandom, using a truncated version of our standard

het_reccers format, OR you can use an alternative template, which asks for a variety of different types of fics. (i.e. Alternative Reality, Best Angst, Best Smut, etc.) If you don't think you've got enough variety to pull off the second template, you can always use the first standard one which asks for 10 recs of any flavor. ;) Because we're asking you to rec, at minimum, 10 fics, we've truncated the rec template to make it easier to fill out. Both templates are HTML format (FAQ), so you can cut/paste for easy use!

Also, feel free to rec more than 10! MORE THAN TEN IS WONDERFUL!
