Why This Must Be Read: There was always something about Jane, Jana, Juno, Jane.

If you've ever read the five-book series, you'll know that the Drews' ending is somewhat bittersweet. As someone who loved Jane, there were a lot of lingering questions, too, about her connections with the Greenwitch and the Lady that were left unanswered. I won't say more, to avoid spoilers, but in this story things end a different way for Jane.

Why This Must Be Read: She doesn't have much talent but of what she does have, she has an abundance, more than enough to share.

Ema/Klavier is one of the more popular het pairings in this fandom, but this is the first story I've read where I understood why one of them had feelings for the other, and gives it actual development. It is also one of the few stories where Klavier's professional side isn't shafted in order to play up the playboy image that's so omnipresent in fandom, but rather, he gets some very insightful character work. It's a quick read -- check it out if AA is familiar to you!

Regarding the ballot stuffing in our shipper cage match, I've already sent out notifications to those individuals that I saw expressly encouraging people to create sock puppet accounts. Their votes have been eliminated or are being eliminated. (I even accidentally cut/paste the wrong name onto one of the PMs, thereby accusing an innocent person of cheating, which is always a nice way to start the day. *infinite facepalms*) As for the rest, there's been a surge of people pimping at Tumblr/Google/other websites, which has encouraged outsiders to create LJ accounts to vote. After some consideration, I've decided that since there's no way for me to identify which ones are real and which ones are sock puppets, beyond the 16 votes (for both pairings, accumulated) that I am eliminating because of known cheating, I can't figure out anyone else. So, votes carry forward as is.

Seriously, though, this should not be serious business. Who cheats at a fandom cage match?

Admin - Anime/Manga Names in Tags Decision

Having read comments and discussed the issue with irony_rocks we've come to decision that we're going to go forward and use Canon Naming Within the Anime.

That does mean the majority of the names in tags will have to be changed to the Last Name/First Name Japanse style of naming, but for the animes or mangas that do not rely on that style (eg. Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Final Fantasy 7, Baccano!) we will not be changing them. Also from now on we will require that when reccing that the names should be written according to the canon of the anime/manga to keep things organised when tagging.

So from now on:

Ship: Chi-Chi Son/Goku Son should be recced as Ship: Son Chi-Chi/Son Goku
Ship: Faye Valentine/Spike Spiegel should still be recced as Ship: Faye Valentine/Spike Spiegel.

eta: This should also apply to other forms of Asian media such as Jdrama and Kdramas, which I would imagine have the same issue. (I'm not sure many have been recced on the comm anyway.) So if anyone who is familiar with the dramas would please also look through the tags and point any out it would be appreciated.

Now this is going to take a while to change so please bare with us while this happens. Also acenpokerface was kind enough to wrangle up a list of names that so far need to be changed, but if you see any other in the tags that need to be alternate please let us know. Why This Must Be Read: Okay, this is where I get kicked out of fandom. I actually love the idea of Wonder Woman/Superman. I always have. The reboot of comics has made that more likely, but I don't generally follow comics. Then again, I am always willing to wade into fanfiction if it interests me. This fic is based on a specific comic, but I didn't need to read it to understand this fic. In Action Comics #761, Wonder Woman and Superman were stuck in Asgard for one thousand years. They didn't give us much of those years, so this is the author's take on it. Wonderfully written, with a great fleshing out of the characters, staying true to both Lois/Clark and Wonderwoman/Superman. I highly recommend it.

Why This Must Be Read: I have to say that pretty much all of the fics that fall under today's category are for John/Elizabeth, so choosing just one was quite difficult. But this is definitely one I never tire of reading again and again. It sounds like a AMTDI fic at first, but really, it's a 'Aliens Suggested They Do It And They Did' kind of fic. ;) The characters are all spot-on, it's beautiful and sexy and hot, and all the things that we love in John/Elizabeth! And this is one of my favourite fics, period.
